Entries kept rolling in for Casual Living's 2004 Merchandising Awards competition, keeping staff busy - and impressed - looking through photos of showroom floors across the country. Those awarded this year stand as examples in the industry, showing what works when pulling together displays, setting up storefronts and creatively working accessories into the casual furniture mix.

Judges for the 2004 competition included Casual Living staff - Becky Boswell Smith, editor-in-chief for Casual Living, Garden Decor and Home Accents Today; Cinde W. Ingram, managing editor, and Courtney Mueller, assistant editor - Lisa Casinger, retail editor for Home Accents Today; Clint Engel, retail editor for Furniture/Today; Laurie Jenkins, designer and owner of LaurieBell Outdoor Occasions, Greensboro, N.C., and Christi F. Spangle and Christine Barbour of Barbour Spangle Design Group.

The 2004 winners will receive plaques noting their achievement, and a crystal award will be presented to the Most Fashionable Retailer.
