UNT Alumni Win Small Business Award

David Schweig and son Brad Schweig (’03), Dallas :: run Sunnyland Patio Furniture, which was a 2015 recipient of the Small Business Award for Corporate Social Responsibility as chosen by the Governor’s Small Business Forum. The award is presented by the Texas governor’s office to a company that has demonstrated a positive impact on the community. Sunnyland’s Helping Hands committee has organized fundraising and community events such as food and toy drives, partnering with organizations like Carter BloodCare, the North Texas Food Bank and Collin County Humane Society. David is the president of Sunnyland, and Brad is the vice president of operations.
